Morgan Gibbs-White sends interesting message to Nottingham Forest fans amid Manchester City…

Morgan Gibbs-White has showcased undeniable talent once again for Nottingham Forest during the 2024/25 campaign.

From the moment Gibbs-White signed for Forest from Wolves, he’s been an instrumental figure in Forest surviving for two seasons in the Premier League and then kicking on to qualify for Europe this term.

It will be the UEFA Conference League for Forest and not the Champions League but despite a valiant chase for the elite club competition, some form of Europe still represents a successful campaign.

Gibbs-White has drawn interest from Manchester City this season, and Sunday’s game at home to Chelsea might have been the last time Forest fans see their beloved number 10.

Morgan Gibbs-White sends message to Nottingham Forest fans

As the dust starts to settle on the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend, the players are coming out to post their thank you messages to the fans ahead of the summer.

Neco Williams and Murillo posted their messages at the weekend, and now Gibbs-White has followed suit from the holiday that he’s currently enjoying before England duty calls.

Gibbs-White posted: “24/25. What a season with this incredible club. From fighting relegation to being back in Europe after 30 years. Thank you for your unwavering support this season. You’ve been incredible.”

The Forest man will now hope to get some minutes under Thomas Tuchel after earning a Three Lions call-up, with the friendly against Senegal taking place at the City Ground.

Forest fans shouldn’t worry about Gibbs-White message

Gibbs-White being linked to Manchester City has left some fans extremely anxious, with the Forest player not posting ‘see you next season’ or something of that nature on his message.

However, it’s a good time to mention that in the two seasons previous that Gibbs-White has been at Forest, he’s not included such a line in his end-of-season message either.

In the modern world, players are media-trained and that means that every social media post is gone through with a fine-tooth comb to avoid anything coming back to bite them in the future.

If Gibbs-White puts ‘see you next season, Forest fans’ on his Instagram post and then leaves, it will see him cop a fair amount of flak with the fan base, and he’s simply treading with caution.

The situation feels like a win-win for Forest. If Gibbs-White stays, great, but if he doesn’t, the Reds will have a significant cash boost in order to further enhance the quality of the playing squad.
