Long-serving Ipswich Town figure targeted for Norwich City role

Norwich City are keen to bring long-serving academy coach Bryan Klug in from rivals Ipswich Town, TWTD has said.

Norwich City are making more changes this summer as they look to build back towards a return to the Premier League. NCFC have been transitioning into new ownership while Ben Knapper came in as sporting director.

A change in the dugout awaits too after parting ways with Johannes Hoff Thorup towards the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Liam Manning looks to be the lead target for the managerial vacancy with the Canaries as a move from Bristol City nears, but it seems the Norfolk club have another eye-catching target for their setup.

According to reputable Ipswich Town fanzine TWTD, Tractor Boys academy coach Bryan Klug is wanted by Norwich City.

It is not specified what role Klug would hold, but they state that it is not linked to the move for Liam Manning. Having mainly worked in academy football, one would expect the 64-year-old to be lined up for a similar role at NCFC if he was to make the move.

Head of football development Dean Rastrick worked with Klug at Tottenham Hotspur and is said to be behind the potential move for his services.
