After most training sessions and games with Real Betis, Antony will find somewhere quiet and start scribbling his reflections and observations into a journal that he first began compiling as something of a self-help guide at Manchester United.
The content of this personal chronicle has, it is fair to say, made for much happier reading over the past four months than it did over the previous 18 months when his career − and life − were in a tailspin.
