A baby who was flung 15ft in his pram after the Liverpool parade car crash escaped severe physical harm. Dad Daniel Eveson feared he had "lost everything" when a Ford Galaxy crashed into a crowd, including his family, during Liverpool FC's title parade on Monday.

The impact sent Teddy flying down the road, while Daniel's partner ended up under the wheel of the Ford Galaxy. However, it has now been confirmed that Teddy suffered no significant physical injuries. A kind-hearted bystander from a nearby restaurant rushed to ensure Teddy's safety and then cared for the baby while Daniel attended to his partner.

She was taken to hospital where she spent at least Monday night. What should have been a celebratory occasion marking Liverpool's second Premier League victory and twentieth league win turned into the "worst day of his life".

Reds supporter Daniel said: "To me looking and finding his pram. To not knowing if he was alive. To seeing him alive. It was a lot to take on... I thought I had lost everything, I really did.", reports the Mirror.

It is believed he remained inside the buggy, which cushioned any further impacts. He did not require hospital treatment, it is understood.

Speaking to his local BBC radio station, Daniel from Telford, Shropshire, said: "I don't honestly believe I will be able to go to a parade or celebration like that ever again.

"Because there will always be that fear in the back of my mind that anything can happen and we might not be in control."

In total, around 65 people, including several children, were injured according to emergency service reports. As of Tuesday afternoon, 11 remained hospitalised with a variety of injuries.

Police and emergency personnel deal with an incident after a car collided with pedestrians near the Liver Building during the Premier League winners parade in Liverpool, England, Monday, May 26, 2025.

Authorities have detained a 53 year old man on suspicion of attempted murder, as well as for dangerous driving and drug driving.

The detainee from West Derby is currently in police custody, where he has undergone questioning.

Merseyside Constabulary is of the belief that the arrested white British citizen was behind the wheel of the car, which appears to have tailgated an ambulance treating a heart attack victim after a roadblock was temporarily opened.

Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims of Merseyside Police has stood by the parade's security arrangements, telling the press that the event's planning accounted for "all contingencies", which included imposing road blocks and deploying armed officers.
