Former Juventus and Milan coach Allegri is expected to return at the helm of a Serie A club next season.

The Livorno-born tactician has already held talks with Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, but the fresh title winners are waiting for Antonio Conte’s final decision on his future at the Stadio Maradona.

Conte seemed destined to return to Juventus, but Napoli’s transfer activities could convince him to stay at the club for one more season.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Allegri is also Igli Tare’s first option for the Milan bench.

Allegri already coached Milan from 2010 to January 2014 and has won six Serie A titles as a coach, one at San Siro and five at Juventus.

A third club linked with the experienced coach is Inter.

As per Tuttosport, Allegri is the main option for the Nerazzurri to replace Simone Inzaghi, but the latter will only think about his future after Saturday’s Champions League Final.

Inzaghi confirmed earlier this week that he had received an offer from the Saudi Pro League.

Allegri has been without a club for the last year after being sacked by Juventus in May 2024.

What did Inzaghi say about his Inter future?

“There are requests from Italy, abroad, Saudi Arabia, but it would be crazy to think about that.

“There is a great relationship with the management and ownership. The day after the game, we will sit down and talk for the good of Inter. If all conditions are in the right place, we will move forwards in harmony, as we always have done in recent years.

“Right now, talking about it would be crazy. It’s something that can’t exist knowing what awaits us on Saturday.”
