GIVEMESPORT sources have confirmed that Chelsea have shown an interest in signing Mainoo ahead of the summer transfer window. The United midfielder would want a pay increase to around £180,000-a-week to leave Old Trafford, while the Red Devils have been looking to tie him down to a new contract.
Reports have even suggested that Mainoo could reject a new deal at Old Trafford in order to seek a move abroad. Negotiations over a new contract have failed to reach a positive conclusion, although the English midfielder does still have three year remaining.
