Sunderland given 'really exciting' Premier League transfer prediction by EFL pundits as Enzo Le Fee point made

Sunderland have won promotion to the Premier League and will now turn their attention towards the summer transfer window.

Sunderland beat Sheffield United on Saturday to win the Championship play-off final and secure their spot in the Premier League.

It’s the first time the Black Cats have been in the top flight of English football since their latest relegation in 2017.

Transfer rumours have already begun to swirl regarding the North East outfit, with Jobe Bellingham linked to Germany.

Elsewhere, Sunderland striker Eliezer Mayenda has transfer interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

While losing key players isn’t exactly what fans want, their club has now been handed an exciting prediction.

Sunderland given Premier League transfer prediction

Sunderland’s recruitment has improved a great deal over the last few years.

As well as Mayenda and Bellingham, another example of this was the signing of Enzo Le Fee this season.

Now, EFL pundits Ryan Dilks and Justin Peach have been discussing Sunderland and have backed the club to recruit well in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Speaking on the Second Tier podcast, Peach said: “Sunderland will go out into the European market, will sign younger players to develop, and they will continue going through that process, nothing will change.”

Dilks agreed and used the Le Fee addition to speculate regarding the calibre of player Sunderland could now attract in the Premier League.

He replied: “I completely agree with that.

Dilks added: “I think you’re absolutely right they’ll take this opportunity to you know go adventurous in the transfer market, bring in some very exciting talent and who knows, as I was alluding to in the previous show on Friday, I personally would give them a better chance of I said a better chance than Sheffield United, I think they’ve got a better chance than Burnley.

“Now that’s partly down to my scepticism over Burnley, but I think the way they will go about signing players this summer is going to be really exciting because if they’re attracting the likes of Enzo Le Fee in the Championship, what they’re going to do heading into the Premier League as a Premier League club?”

How much did Sunderland pay for Enzo Le Fee

Le Fee initially joined the Black Cats on loan from AS Roma during the January transfer window.

He went on to play 15 league games in the regular Championship season, scoring one and assisting one.

His transfer to the Stadium of Light is now being made permanent, with the Mirror reporting that Sunderland have paid £19.3m for Le Fee.
