Matheus Cunha appears to be in the final days of his Wolves career as the Brazilian edges closer to a transfer to Manchester United.
After a slow start at Wolves in the 2022/23 season, Cunha came to life under the guidance of Gary O’Neil.
The 26-year-old found a place to call home in the Premier League at Molineux, and now, the Brazilian is ready to move on.
In March, Cunha announced that he wanted to leave Wolves in the summer transfer window, with the player’s wish to be granted by Man United.

Mario Lemina sends message to Matheus Cunha ahead of transfer
Man United are set to agree payment terms for Cunha in the coming days, as Wolves prepare to bid farewell to the sensational Brazil international.
Though the transfer has not yet been confirmed, the West Midlands has already said their goodbyes to the forward, whose exit has been a long time coming.
Some Wolves fans are disappointed with Cunha’s openness when speaking about transfers, revealing that he wanted to leave the club amid a relegation battle.
Still, the 26-year-old is expected to leave Molineux with well wishes, but for some, the goodbyes may seem a little premature.

Cunha gifted Joao Gomes a Rolex to say goodbye to his teammate, and, on the subject of ex-teammates, Mario Lemina sent his regards ahead of the transfer.
On an Instagram story, Lemina penned the following message to Cunha.
“You will be in missing at Wolves. Already legend player for Wolves. Enjoy your next chapter brother.”
The message might not sit well with some Wolves fans, given that either club has not yet made the transfer official.
Lemina announced his Wolves exit early
On the other hand, when it comes to Lemina, some fans will not be surprised by how the Gabon international has publicly addressed the transfer.
In February, Lemina announced his own transfer to Galatasaray before Wolves had announced his departure themselves, an action that frustrated supporters.

Loyalty until the end is what fans want to see from those who represent the Old Gold, and for some, discussing exits to other clubs does not fall under an acceptable threshold.
It was an ugly end at Wolves for Lemina, who forced a move to Istanbul in search of greener grass away from Molineux.
It remains to be seen when Cunha’s transfer is finalised, but for now, some would appreciate the Brazilian to adopt some discretion regarding his exit.
