Everton have their long-term future in mind, as a transfer for Red Star Belgrade centre-back Veljko Milosavljevic is possible.

James Tarkowski impressed many at Goodison Park with his performances this season, but the 32-year-old isn’t getting any younger.

Jarrad Branthwaite is attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the English defender leave the Toffees in the coming years.

Milosavljevic has emerged as an exciting talent in the Serbian SuperLiga, and the Blues have already taken steps to seal his signing.

Milosavljevic’s record at Red Star this season.

It’s been claimed that the Merseyside outfit are closely monitoring the Serbia Under-19 international, who’s valued at over £8million at the Rajko Mitic Stadium.

The Belgrade outfit are thinking whether it’s better to cash in on the young centre-back now or wait until the future, with Celtic and Paris Saint-Germain also in the race.

Hill Dickinson Stadium to see squad overhaul next summer

Moyes should push for major signings at the Hill Dickinson Stadium next summer to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for a higher position in the Premier League.

The Friedkin Group (TFG) have overseen a decent few months at Goodison Park since completing their takeover, and the Americans must now plan for a brighter future away from the Grand Old Lady.

Several players are out of contract at the Blues in the coming weeks, and the departures of some key stars has already been announced.

Abdoulaye Doucoure has ended his stint at Everton and will look for a new club in the upcoming transfer window.

In defence, Ashley Young will continue his career elsewhere, while Michael Keane’s future at the Merseyside outfit is also uncertain.

The Toffees will undoubtedly have to add depth in all areas of the squad, and Milosavljevic would make sense.

While Tarkowski and Branthwaite are still expected to be the first-choice partnership next season, the 17-year-old Serbian could develop his game at the Blues in the coming years before fighting for a starting berth.

The young defender still has a lot to learn, and Moyes may be the perfect manager for him at this stage.
