Manchester City have reportedly added one of the brightest prospects in the Belgian Pro League to their shortlist of summer transfer targets.
A new era has begun at the Etihad Stadium where new sporting director Hugo Viana is working alongside outgoing chief Txiki Begiristain during a transition period, with their focus primarily on a much-anticipated squad rebuild.
Man City are thought to be prioritising the addition of at least four new players this summer, with midfield reinforcements high on their agenda now that Kevin De Bruyne is leaving the club upon the expiration of his contract.
Recent reports have claimed that the Citizens have cooled their interest in Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, who appears to be favouring a big-money move to Liverpool.
Man City have also been linked with a host of other midfielders from across Europe, and a fresh face has now emerged as a potential addition to Pep Guardiola's squad.

Man City add Jashari to midfield shortlist
According to Sky Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenberg, Man City have added Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari to their shortlist of summer targets.
Plettenberg claims that contact has already taken place with the Citizens over the 22-year-old, who was recently named the Belgian Pro League Player of the Season after a stellar 2024-25 campaign.
Jashari, who primarily operates as a defensive midfielder, is under contract at Club Brugge until June 2029 and is said to be valued at more than €35m (£29.7m).
The two-cap Switzerland international chipped in with four goals and six assists in 52 appearances across all competitions in 2024-25, playing an integral role in a Club Brugge side that won the Belgian Cup, finished second in the top flight and reached the last 16 of the Champions League.
Man City are not the only club said to be keeping tabs on Jashari, as Bundesliga pair Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are also monitoring him ahead of the summer window.

Who else are Man City keen to sign?
Recent reports have claimed that Man City are exploring a 'bargain' move for versatile attacker Rayan Cherki, who is likely to leave Lyon this summer.
The 22-year-old, who is comfortable operating in an advanced midfield role or out wide, has a year left on his contract and is understood to possess a release clause of around £20m to £25m.
City's interest in Cherki is yet to reach an advanced stage, but they are believed to be making progress in their pursuit of AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, who has been identified as their top target for the No.8 position.
The Citizens are understood to have opened club-to-club talks with Milan over a deal for the 26-year-old Dutchman, who has given the green light to move to the Etihad Stadium, and an agreement could be found at around €50m (£41.9m) to €55m (£46.1m).
Guardiola's side are also believed to be weighing up a move for Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, while Barcelona's Dani Olmo and Borussia Monchengladbach's Rocco Reitz are among others who have been linked with the Premier League giants.
