Palmeiras are back in the mix for Nottingham Forest’s Ramón Sosa after failing to sign him in the winter market.
On Tuesday, we covered multiple claims from South America which stated Palmeiras will make a new attempt to sign him before the Club World Cup in June. It was also reported Nottingham Forest are willing to listen to offers.
The Brazilian club remains optimistic of securing the winger’s services due to his limited role at Nottingham Forest this season. To put it in context, he’s played 550 minutes from 23 games, and it includes one league start.
Palmeiras’ optimism seems to be misplaced, reports journalist Germán García Grova. He has taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a short but important update on the 25-year-old.
Germán García Grova states the South American club have made ‘several attempts with a lot of money’ to sign the Paraguay international. However, Sosa isn’t keen on joining them as his priority is to continue in Europe.
The attacker went against Talleres to secure a move to Nottingham Forest, but it hasn’t worked out for him. Sosa and Nuno Espírito Santo’s side will have to make a decision on his future in the next few months.
