Matheus Cunha is all set to join Manchester United after Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed for United to book his medical as the two clubs finally agree terms.
An agreement has been made for the Brazilian’s £62.5 million release clause to be paid in three instalments of £20.85 million over a two year period, helping to lessen the immediate financial impact of the deal.
It’s also understood that United have agreed terms with the striker, seeing his £120,000 per week with Wolves to £200,000 per week at Old Trafford.
However, in the contract talks, Cunha also had another demand for moving to Old Trafford.

Matheus Cunha demands iconic shirt number
TalkSPORT has revealed that as part of his move to United, Cunha wants the coveted number 10 shirt, currently worn by Marcus Rashford.
Cunha reportedly wants the pressure of the iconic number, having thrived wearing it with Wolves.
Also with United looking to offload Rashford this summer, it’s unlikely that the England international will be set to wear it again, essentially making it available to United’s new signing.
Now with everything in place between the clubs and player, all that’s left to do is complete the medical and get the paperwork signed for Cunha to become a Red Devil on 1st June when the transfer window opens.
