De Ligt, Zirkzee, Yoro - Manchester United latest injury news as seven could miss ASEAN All-Stars match

The latest Man Utd team news and potential return dates ahead of their first post-season friendly.

Manchester United could be without a further two first-team stars when they face ASEAN All-Stars in their first post-season friendly match later today. United kickstart their two match tour of Asia against a team comprising of players from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Malaysia on Wednesday.

Ruben Amorim is expected to name star-studded starting line ups during the lucrative tour, with several young players expected to feature from the bench. It means there might not be many changes from the side that defeated Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League season.

United only left five senior stars out of the tour squad, though a further two players are considered doubts after they failed to take part in an open training session on the eve of the match. Here is all the latest injury news.

Manchester United injury news and return dates

Shaw missed the weekend win over Aston Villa due to a foot injury but trained yesterday and is in contention to play again. It would make more sense for him to be named on the bench.

De Ligt took part in an individual training session on Tuesday and might not be risked against the ASEAN All-Stars. The fact he travelled on the tour suggests he is close to a return though.

Zirkzee was also absent from the group training session earlier in the week. He took part in fitness work as well and it doesn't make sense to risk him today.

Yoro did not play against Aston Villa on the final day of the regular season and was not named in the tour squad. His issue isn't believed to be serious and he should be back for pre-season.

Mazraoui suffered a hamstring injury at the weekend and was not named in the post-season tour squad. He will be given time to rest ahead of a return in pre-season.

Lisandro Martinez - Unknown

Martinez is a long-term injury absentee and will not be rushed back. He was initially expected to miss six months of action from when he suffered the setback in early February.
