Alexander Isak has now been nominated for the 2024/25 Premier League goal of the season award.
The official announcement (see below) revealing that his sensational strike against Liverpool in December is one of the contenders.

‘Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has been shortlisted for the 2024/25 Guinness Premier League Goal of the Season award.
The Swedish frontman opened the scoring during a 3-3 home draw against Liverpool in stunning fashion, collecting Bruno Guimarães’ pass before unleashing a ferocious long-range effort into the roof of the net, which won the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award for December.
Isak is named in a ten-man shortlist for the coveted prize, which includes Chelsea duo Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson, former Aston Villa striker Jhon Dúran, Fulham’s Harry Wilson, David Brooks of AFC Bournemouth, Brighton & Hove Albion pair Kaoru Mitoma and Carlos Baleba, Jens Cajuste of Ipswich Town and Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush.
