Leverkusen are also likely to be in the market for attacking options, as Florian Wirtz nears an exit. The German is expected to sign for Liverpool in a club-record deal, a transfer that could arm Leverkusen with the funds to get a deal done.

Juventus are another side searching for firepower from wide, with the Italians set to decline the chance to sign loanee Francisco Conceicao on a permanent deal.
