Tributes have poured in for a former Glasgow Rangers and Liverpool FC legend who died aged 85.
Liverpool Football Club said they were 'deeply saddened' to learn of the passing of Willie Stevenson.
We reported how the ex-star, who made 241 appearances for the elite English club in the 1960s, tragically passed away recently.

As well as playing for Liverpool, Willie played with Rangers between 1958 and 1962.
While at the Glasgow side, the much-loved footballer made more than 100 appearances, lifted the Scottish League title in 1959, and the Scottish Cup the following season.

Willie departed the Gers in October 1962 after being signed by Liverpool's legendary Scottish manager, Bill Shankly.
During his time in Merseyside, the left-half was a 'key member' of the team that won First Division titles in 1964 and 1966, as well as the Reds' first FA Cup in 1965.
At Liverpool FC, Willie missed only nine league matches in his first four full seasons at the club.
Tributes for ex-Rangers FC and Liverpool star after death (Image: Liverpool FC) In total, he scored 18 goals for the Anfield side, including the penalty that clinched a 2 - 0 semi-final win over Chelsea en route to the historic FA Cup success of 1965.
The Leith-born footballer made his last appearance at Liverpool in November 1967 before joining Stoke City in December of that year.
After Liverpool FC announced Willie's death on May 27, fans of the footballer have paid tribute to the legend on social media.

One person wrote: "Terrific player for both clubs (Liverpool and Rangers)."
Another added: "RIP Willie. A Liverpool and Rangers great."
A third said: "Sad news indeed. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Willie's family and friends.
"RIP Willie, Once a Ranger, always a Ranger."
A fourth wrote: "Great player, what a half-back."
Meanwhile, a Liverpool fan said: "RIP Willie Stevo, where would we be without the sixties legends on and off the pitch.
"You never walk alone."
Another supporter added: RIP Willie, a true Liverpool legend. Condolences to his family at this sad time."

Rangers Football Club also posted a touching tribute to Willie on X.

They said: "Everyone at Rangers is saddened to have learned of the passing of former player Willie Stevenson at the age of 85.

A spokesperson for Liverpool FC said: "Liverpool FC is deeply saddened by the passing of former player Willie Stevenson.
"Stevenson, who made 241 appearances for the club in the 1960s, has died at the age of 85.

A Stoke City spokesperson added: "Stoke City Football Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former left half, Willie Stevenson, at the age of 85.
"We send our thoughts and sincere condolences to Willie’s family and friends at this sad time."
