Nottingham Forest have Stuttgart defender Josha Vagnoman on their list of summer targets, according to a new report.
From Sunday (June 1), the Reds can make a start on their summer transfer business. It is set to be a busy few months at the City Ground as changes are made to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.
Having secured European football for the first time in 30 years, Forest need to ensure they have sufficient strength in depth to challenge on several fronts in 2025/26. Bolstering Nuno’s resources across the pitch will be the aim.
Full-back is one area where the Reds will assess their options. According to German newspaper Kicker, Vagnoman is on the club’s radar as they plot their summer signings.
The 24-year-old right-back is expected to leave Stuttgart in the coming weeks as all the signs “point to a farewell”. He has 12 months remaining on his contract and it appears there is little chance of a new one, so the Bundesliga outfit are planning to cash-in while they can.
With his future seemingly set to lie elsewhere, Forest are said to be “interested” in the German. The “more physically demanding” Premier League is viewed as a division better suited to his style.
Vagnoman joined Stuttgart from Hamburg in the summer of 2022. Injuries have hindered his time at the club but he has still made close to 70 appearances in the league. He played his part last weekend as Arminia Bielefeld were beaten 4-2 in the final of the DFB Cup.

Ola Aina was first-choice at right-back for Forest during the season just gone, while Neco Williams shone on the opposite flank. Both players can operate on either side but the Reds are light when it comes to back-up.
An option to sign Aston Villa loanee Alex Moreno is not expected to be taken up and fellow left-back Harry Toffolo will be out of contract come June. A decision will need to be made on the future of Omar Richards, who spent the campaign on loan at Rio Ave in a bid to find form and fitness after a nightmare couple of years with injury.
Forest signed young right-back Eric da Silva Moreira last summer but the 19-year-old remains a prospect for the future. He made five appearances during his first year on the banks of the Trent.
