Real Madrid have been a constant menace to Liverpool over the past few transfer windows. They have taken Trent Alexander-Arnold from his hometown club with official confirmation of that deal expected soon.
Now they are chasing Ibrahima Konate, reportedlytrying to convince the Frenchman to run down his contract and join for free in 2026.

Moreover, the ex-midfielder believes the acquisition of this Liverpool star will be the deciding factor in Real Madrid once again becoming a Champions League contender.
Xabi Alonso wants Mac Allister
Alexis Mac Allister, 26, has long been in the sights of Los Blancos - with links to the Argentina stretching back a year. With Toni Kroos retiring last year and Luka Modric departing the club at the end of the 2024/25 season, it’s all change in Madrid’s midfield.
And Fichajes is now claiming that former Liverpool favourite Alonso sees Mac Allister above all else as a potentially transformative signing for his new club.
“Alonso believes that the arrival of the former Boca Juniors and Brighton player would be a decisive boost in turning the team into a top candidate to win the next Champions League,” the report reads.
And perhaps worryingly for Liverpool it’s believed that Mac Allister’s representatives are keen on the move, describing the playmaker as willing to move on to the Bernabeu.

Mac Allister wants Madrid move
“The player's entourage is fully willing to change teams if the opportunity to wear the shirt of Europe's most successful club arises,” the report reads.
“The player himself would be keen to join Real Madrid, aware that the leap to the elite could happen now.”

Liverpool paid £35m for Mac Allister back in 2023and he is under contract until 2028. Therefore the Reds are very well protected from a transfer fee perspective and it could take a record bid to shift the World Cup winner out of the club.
