Club convinced Brighton can be ‘key’ to achieve goals next season – Working on convincing Seagulls to sanction move

Brighton & Hove Albion signed Malick Yalcouyé from IFK Göteborg in July of last year and sent him on loan SK Sturm Graz a month later.

The temporary move has worked out well for the 19-year-old as he was an integral part of Sturm Graz’s title winning squad. Yalcouyé played 2,756 minutes from 36 games across all competitions this season.

Last week, the Brighton player admitted he’s expecting to be on the move again in the summer window.

The Austrian champions want Yalcouyé back on loan again for next season, according to Africa Foot. They explain Sturm Graz have started making efforts to try and secure a new agreement with the Seagulls.

Sturm Graz, as per the report, are confident the Malian can be a ‘key element’ for them to achieve their objectives for next season. Therefore, they have started negotiations with the Premier League club for the young midfielder.

Africa Foot aren’t clear whether Sturm Graz can be successful in convincing Brighton as they state ‘nothing is certain’ for now.

Fabian Hürzeler has a decision to make, and it remains to be seen whether he’ll include Yalcouyé in his plans or sanction a new loan.
