Manchester United are looking increasingly likely to offload Marcus Rashford this summer, with Barcelona linked to the England international.

The breakdown in Rashford’s relationship with Ruben Amorim this season seemingly has called an end to the attacker’s United career after being dropped from the squad and sent out on loan to Aston Villa.

However, at Villa Park, Rashford thrived once more, showing impressive form under Unai Emery.

Unfortunately, despite being keen to stay with The Villains, Rashford’s hefty wage meant a permanent move was reliant on qualifying for the Champions League, with Villa narrowly missed out on.

Whilst Aston Villa aren’t exercising their £40 million option to buy at the end of his load, the valuation still stands for any other interested club.

One such club, labelled as a dream move by Rashford previously is Barcelona.

The LaLiga champions are keen to reinforce their attack this summer and see Rashford as a strong addition to their ranks.

Now, Spanish publication Sport has reported that Deco has met with Rashford’s agent in a hotel in Barcelona.

It’s recently been reported that Deco and Barcelona manager Hansi Flick are keen fans of Rashford and want to seem him at Camp Nou next season.

As such, this contact marks a massive step in Rashford’s seemingly imminent departure from Old Trafford after two decades with the club.

With Marcus Rashford being a product of the United academy, his sale with constitute as pure profit under Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), going further than other sales to ease the club’s financial struggles.
