Man Utd vs ASEAN All-Stars line-up and how to watch– TV channel, live stream and KO time

Manchester United may be licking their wounds after a dreadful season, but they're already gearing up for a midweek match.

Following a gut-wrenching Europa League final knockout by Spurs and an abysmal 15th place Premier League standing, it's been a campaign the Red Devils will want to blot out. But there's no rest for the fallen giants - now United are off for a jaunt in Malaysia for a duo of off-season clashes, post their controversial win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Ready to lock horns with the ASEAN All-Stars, United are using the clash as a testing ground for new talent. Ruben Amorim has named six of the starting XI who lost the Europa League final in his line-up, with the likes of Andre Onana, Harry Maguire, Manuel Ugarte and Rasmus Hojlund getting the nod this afternoon.

Kobbie Mainoo also lines up in midfield, but captain Bruno Fernandes is on the bench. Alejandro Garnacho, who has been told to find a new club, is on the bench. The confirmed team includes Onana, Reece Munro, Maguire, Ayden Heaven, Diogo Dalot, Casemiro, Ugarte, Patrick Dorgu, Jack Moorhouse, Mainoo and Hojlund.

ASEAN All-Stars are a Southeast Asian football collective were assembled back in 2014 to raise funds for Typhoon Haiyan survivors and represents the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Here's all you need to watch United square off with the ASEAN All-Stars.

Amorim isn't glossing over his rocky ride so far but is looking forward to next season, reports the Mirror. Speaking before the match-up, he said: "I'm excited, I'm nervous. I want to work to the next season.

"I have a clear feeling I need to close the season but now it's a new season, so I'm excited. "I don't need rest. I just need to prepare for the new season."

Manchester United versus ASEAN All-Stars will take place on Wednesday, May 28. Whistles blow at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia come 1.45pm UK time – that's 8.45pm for the local crowd.

A hefty 32-man United squad has jetted off to Malaysia for the two-match series. Noussair Mazraoui and Leny Yoro haven't joined the team, but Garnacho is on board despite swirling exit rumours.

Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof, both nearing the end of their contracts in June, are absent due to personal reasons. Jonny Evans, whose contract is also ticking down, has made the trip.

Young guns Ayden Heaven, Tyler Fredricson, Godwill Kukonki, Dan Armer and Reece Munro are all in the mix. Dutch pair Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee have been training separately, casting doubt over their involvement.

After the All-Stars showdown, United will square off against Hong Kong in Kuala Lumpur before taking a summer breather. They'll regroup on July 19 to face Leeds United, who are Premier League-bound, in Stockholm, Sweden.

Next, United will cross the pond for a US tour featuring matches against West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton. Amorim's squad will then take on Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9.
