West Ham are keen on bringing Genoa star Morten Frendrup to the Premier League this summer.
After a very disappointing season, West Ham will be fully aware of the need to recruit well and make smart decisions once the summer approaches.
The future of Graham Potter remains up in the air, and only when that situation is addressed will the Irons be able to kickstart their plans for the transfer window.
With that in mind, Frendrup has revealed his plans for the future amid links connecting him with a move to the London Stadium.

West Ham midfield target focused on Genoa future
If progression is to be made next season, West Ham need to recruit very, very well, having finished just a few places above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Once again, the main priority will be the addition of a striker capable of scoring goals, but there are several other areas of the squad that will need severe attention.
One of those areas concerns the midfield, and with Tomas Soucek linked with an exit, those needs will only be magnified in the coming weeks.

Frendrup has been mooted as one of their midfield targets, and in an interview with Give Me Sport (28 May), he has revealed his plans while responding to the transfer interest.
He said: “I am flattered by links with some big clubs. However, my only focus is on Genoa. I like to stay in the present. It’s nice to see my name mentioned with Premier League or European teams, but I think it’s important to keep my feet on the ground and stay in the present.”
At 24 years old, Frendrup has years of development still to come, having already made a name for himself as an excellent midfielder in Serie A.

London Stadium needs to witness change this summer
West Ham won a European trophy not so long ago, and yet here we are questioning where the future lies for this great club.
The Hammers have the makings of an excellent squad, but a few pieces are missing to turn it into a side capable of challenging towards the top end of the Premier League consistently again.
That is the task that awaits them this summer, and they will be afforded no margin for error when it comes to addressing it.
Potter and Kyle MacAuley have a big job ahead of them at the London Stadium.
