**Chelsea will know that they are going to have to part ways with a number of individuals to counter the transfer business they want to complete this summer.**
Now they know they will be playing in the Champions League next season, Todd Boehly is ready to bankroll his side to the next stage of their project by adding a number of key names to the side.
As a result, those who have not featured regularly under Enzo Maresca are likely to be up for sale at the right price. Gabriel Agbonlahor has already told Chelsea to sell Christopher Nkunku in the upcoming window.
There will be change at the back too, with one player the manager seeming to not be too comfortable starting being Benoit Badiashile.

Signed for £35m in January 2023, the Frenchman has struggled greatly with injuries, but has been fit enough to play more than the 333 minutes he managed in the Premier League this season.
This could see him on the move this summer, and a club set to play in the Champions League next season are considering an offer. According to L’Equipe, Marseille are weighing up whether to bring in Badiashile to bolster their defence during the upcoming transfer window.
The Ligue 1 side also have an interest in Wesley Fofana, another player Chelsea have struggled to be able to rely on due to his injury woes.

Chelsea are yet to compete in the new format of the Champions League, where the Blues will play eight group stage games rather than the previous six.
This means they will play two teams from each pot, meaning there is at least a 25% chance that they play Marseille, a percentage which could go up if Tottenham are also in Pot 3, where the French side are expected to be.
There is therefore a good chance that Marseille and Chelsea, who the likes of Didier Drogba have both played for, could meet in the group stages next season, meaning there would be a quick return for Badiashile to face his old teammates.
Until then, the defender will be hoping to be considered for selection in the Conference League final against Real Betis, Chelsea’s final game of the season.
