Analyst Makes Bold Prediction About Garrett Wilson

The New York Jets are slated to look a lot different in 2025 than they did in 2024.

The biggest change, of course, will be at the quarterback position.

Justin Fields is taking over after a two-year stint from Aaron Rodgers that did not go according to plan, hoping to make a difference in the passing game.

Fields has had some ups and downs throughout his NFL career, but there is reason for Jets fans to be optimistic.

He played well for the Pittsburgh Steelers last year, leading them to a 4-2 record before getting benched for Russell Wilson.

If he can keep that momentum going, there’s no telling what this offense could look like.

It will help to have Garrett Wilson as one of his top wide receivers, especially since they played together at Ohio State.

Wilson has had some great seasons to this point in his career, but some, including ESPN analyst Ben Solak, believe he’s in for a career year.

Solak is so confident in Wilson this year that he boldly claimed that he will lead the league in receiving yards.

Jets analyst Matt O’Leary talked about Solak’s prediction in a video he shared to X, indicating that while he’d like this to happen, Wilson would need to have around 600 more yards than he did in 2024 to make this happen.

Fields supported D.J. Moore to a high-caliber season when they were on the Chicago Bears together, getting him nearly 1,400 yards.

Wilson is said to be a better receiver than Moore, and if he and Fields can get back into the rhythm they had at Ohio State, perhaps this prediction isn’t as far-fetched as some might indicate.
