Insider Makes Big Prediction About Celtics This Offseason

The 2024-2025 NBA season didn’t go according to plan for the Boston Celtics.

After winning the championship last year, the 18th in franchise history, many expected the Celtics to repeat.

They looked like the best team in the Eastern Conference, not named the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it looked like they had a relatively clear path back to the Finals.

However, the New York Knicks had other plans, ending their season earlier than anticipated.

Jayson Tatum suffered a major injury during that series that might keep him out of the 2025-2026 campaign, a reason for serious concern among the fanbase.

There’s reason to believe that the Celtics are going to make some moves over the next several months to be competitive, as Shams Charania recently highlighted on Pat McAfee’s Show.

“The Boston Celtics are going to make trades… They’re definitely going to have a different roster next season,” Charania said.

Whether the Celtics expect to have a down year, trading away a player like Jaylen Brown, perhaps, or if they’ll reload, remains to be seen.

Some have indicated that the Celtics will move Brown and get aggressive in the 2025 NBA Draft, but nothing has been set in stone at this point.

Only time will tell, but things could get interesting for one of the most dominant and historic teams in the league.

Tatum’s absence will be felt throughout the 2025-2026 season for as long as he’s sidelined, as he’s been a cornerstone of this team since he was drafted.

Will the Celtics find a superstar to step up in his absence, especially if Brown gets dealt like so many predict?
