The Cleveland Browns enter the 2025 season with one of their most dynamic and diverse wide receiver rooms in years, and their effectiveness hinges on one main concept.
Staying healthy.
Each receiver on the Browns’ roster brings a level of intrigue and potential, and now seems like a perfect time to talk about a few superlatives for the group.
Most likely to break out
Jamari Thrash
Thrash is entering year 2 with Cleveland after being drafted in the 5th round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
He only saw action in 9 games last season and should undoubtedly get on the field more often in 2025. There’s even a slight chance that he gives Diontae Johnson a run for his money to be the Browns’ WR3 this season.
If Thrash has a good summer and shows that he can be a productive complementary receiver behind Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman, it'll be hard for him to be kept off the field in 2025.
No, he obviously wouldn’t put up better numbers or have a higher target share than those guys, but he could be a legit option for the team in 11 personnel packages.
Most likely to take a step back
Jerry Jeudy
This one isn’t very hard to comprehend, as Jeudy would naturally take a hit in production if Cedric Tillman stays healthy, Thrash becomes more effective, and also with Diontae Johnson now being in the picture.
Most likely to get cut
David Bell
Though Bell has always done a pretty good job with whatever he’s asked to do, it might be time to see what Michael Woods II can do for Cleveland.
If the team decides to keep Woods II as WR6 heading into 2025, then Bell would be the player to cut at that point. Cutting Bell would also create $1.39M in cap space for the Browns this offseason.
Most likely to make the Pro Bowl
Jerry Jeudy
Jeudy still has the ability and potential to make a Pro Bowl in 2025, depending on how things play out with the team’s other pass catchers.
Even with a reduction in targets (which is almost guaranteed to be the case), he could still be incredibly productive and get close to the receiving numbers and effectiveness that he had in 2024.
