Manchester United were beaten 1-0 by ASEAN All-Stars in their first post-season friendly in Asia. Here are our player ratings from the game.

( A score of 6 is around average)

Andre Onana 5 – Didn’t have a lot to do but the one save he was required to make, he parried the ball into a dangerous area.

Reece Munro 5 – Gave away a few cheap fouls but overall, a decent appearance for the 18-year-old.

Harry Maguire 6 – Solid performance without being truly tested. Captained the side.

Ayden Heaven 7 – Top-class as he’s always been since joining the club in January. Enjoyed a good battle against a lively winger, mostly coming out on top. A few blocks and interceptions.

Diogo Dalot 6 – Remained high up the pitch during the time he was on the pitch and provided the team with good width. Delivered two dangerous crosses into the box.

Manuel Ugarte 4 – A number of heavy touches and poor passes that broke spells of United possession.

Casemiro 6 – Very positive in his play, consistently looking to pass forward and initiate attacking moves.

Patrick Dorgu 5 – A bit lethargic, which is unlike him. Put in one brilliant challenge when it looked like an ASEAN All-Stars player had broken through on goal.

Jack Moorhouse 5 – Nice to see him get some minutes with the senior team, though he didn’t really have an impact in his advanced midfield role.

Kobbie Mainoo 7 – Most of the good things United did in the first half came from him. Kept the ball well and his movement was also superb. Came closest to scoring but his shot was cleared off the line. Took the armband when Maguire came off.

Rasmus Hojlund 2 – Another nothing performance. Gave the ball away over and over, couldn’t hold up play and didn’t bring his teammates into play. Just can’t get going, even in a friendly.

Substitutes

Daniel Armer 6 – Slotted into the three-man defence seamlessly and didn’t look out of place.

Jaydan Kamason 7 – Bright in the few minutes he was afforded. Injected energy into a relatively lifeless game and even had a crack at goal, although he aimed his shot over the crossbar.

Sekou Kone 8 – Amazing cameo. Assured and calm in possession, producing a few eye-catching turns and shoulder drops. Didn’t shy from coming deep to collect the ball from the backline and did well in his duels. Sparked a United attack with a cheeky back-heel.

Shea Lacey 7 – Delivered a sublime cross for a very good goalscoring opportunity. Also produced a fine bit of skill to get past his man.

Tyler Fredricson 6 – Decent performance. Did his job.

Jonny Evans 6.5 – Excellent over-the-top pass to Alejandro Garnacho. Led the line confidently, guiding a group of inexperienced youngsters.

Godwill Kukonki 4 – He’ll be disappointed with his positioning for ASEAN All-Stars’ opening strike.

Tyler Fletcher 6 -An encouraging cameo, kept things straightforward and effective. Set up Chido Obi with a well-placed header into his path.

Harry Amass 6 – Positioned himself high up the pitch and linked up well with Garnacho, but not much came off.

Toby Collyer 6 – Quietly ent about his business in the middle of the park.

Bruno Fernandes 7 – Every touch was cheered by the crowd. Sensational as usual, as he looked to create chances.

Alejandro Garnacho 6 – Saw a lot of the ball down the left but without good end product.

Amad 7 – Used the ball well and one of the very few United stars who shouldered the responsibility of creating for the team. Created a good chance for Chido and could have also scored himself from a Fernandes ball, but couldn’t get a clean enough connection on the volley.

Chido Obi 7 – Positive and played with the intensity of a competitive fixture. Showed great physicality and had a few shots to try and get on the score sheet.

Tom Heaton 5 – Like Onana, didn’t have much to do. Well and truly beaten for the goal.

Jimmy Thwaites 6.5 – Picked up where Tyler Fletcher left off. Fired a shot but couldn’t trouble the opposition goalkeeper with it. Breathtaking last-ditch tackle right at the end.
