Bills Sean McDermott Praises Josh Allen Amid Wedding Rumors

It's a major offseason for the Buffalo Bills now shifting gears into voluntary OTAs. The team reported this week with almost all players in attendance besides running back James Cook.

As that matter over a contract extension plays out in the background, the Bills will be at the center of attention when training camp gets underway later this summer. They will be featured on the next season of "Hard Knocks," their first time making an appearance on the program.

This is also a special time for quarterback Josh Allen. Buffalo's franchise centerpiece not only has another big season ahead in 2025 but also some major personal events taking place outside the lines.

Allen is engaged to be married to actress Hailee Steinfeld though no one knows any official date or timeline. However, Allen's teammate Dion Dawkins may have accidentally leaked a possible wedding date of May 31.

Dawkins has since walked back his comments from March though his slip has already done its damage. Allen and Steinfeld have kept their personal matters, including the wedding, mostly secret.

But if Dawkins' revelation is true, that would mean Allen's wedding would be this upcoming weekend. The Bills quarterback has nonetheless remained present at the start of OTAs, drawing the respect from his team and especially head coach Sean McDermott.

"He is the face of our organization... He is the leader of our team," McDermott said.

For anyone, the week leading up to the wedding can be quite the rush and also a stressor as the final plans are made and adjustments come through. It is certainly admirable if Allen is in fact making this extra effort as this plays out in his personal life.

And though fans do no actually know the date for certain, one would imagine it would happen sooner than later with Allen's football schedule really kicking into gear over the next few months.

Whatever the plans may be, Bills Mafia awaits the celebration for their cherished quarterback and leader.
