Leroy Sane is keen on a return to the Premier League and a move to London amid links with Tottenham, sources have told Football Insider.

The Bayern Munich winger will find himself out of contract next month and is likely to leave the Bundesliga champions after five years in the Bavarian capital.

Sane has so far rejected Bayern’s attempts to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena, and is currently fielding offers from elsewhere after deciding to switch agents in recent weeks.

The 29-year-old is likely to attract interest from a number of Premier League clubs, as well as sides in Spain and the Saudi Pro League.

Tottenham given opportunity to secure signing after Europa League success

It has been reported by Sky Sports (28 May) that Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Sane after securing qualification for the Champions League next season.

The former Man City winger could be an astute addition, with Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou looking to bolster his squad following a difficult Premier League campaign that saw them slump to 17th on the final day of the season.

Arsenal are also keen on the German international, while London rivals Chelsea are also in the queue for Sane’s signature after Jadon Sancho failed to make a suitable impact during the current campaign whilst on loan from Man United.

While a number of overseas clubs are also expected to signal their interest in Sane, the most lucrative financial packages in European football will come from the Premier League.

The 69-cap international has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell in Germany, with honours including four Bundesliga titles as well as the FIFA Club World Cup.

Sane could be on his way to Tottenham this summer.

Tottenham set to miss out on teen sensation

Meanwhile, Tottenham are set to miss out on the signing of highly-rated teenager Harley Emsden-James, who looks to be on his way to Man United.

The Red Devils are leading the race to sign the Southampton centre-back, who is also being tracked by Arsenal and Chelsea.

Emsden-James has made just two appearances for Southampton’s Under-18 side but interest in the 16-year-old hasn’t showed any signs of slowing and United now hope they have won the race for his signature.
