Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in Kaoru Mitoma, with the Brighton winger said to be featuring prominently in internal discussions, according to Caught Offside.

While Rodrygo is said to remain the preferred target, Mitoma is viewed as a viable alternative, particularly with Bayern Munich now apparently aware he could be available for around £42m.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest are pushing to sign Jarell Quansah from Liverpool, with a price tag of £25m – £30m set for the 22-year-old defender. Newcastle, Brentford, Everton and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring his situation.

Cristhian Mosquera poised for Valencia exit amid Arsenal interest

Cristhian Mosquera is expected to leave Valencia this summer, with the 20-year-old centre-back increasingly viewed as a saleable asset to balance the club’s books.

Despite his contract running until 2026, Valencia have no intention of risking his departure on a free in future, and have placed a €20m (£17m) valuation on the defender, who is actually valued at €30m on Transfermarkt.

Having failed to agree a renewal earlier this year, both parties now consider an exit inevitable.

Importantly, Mosquera has made clear his respect for the club, declining to explore pre-contract offers in January to focus solely on helping Valencia avoid relegation. His maturity, combined with top-level potential, has led to wide admiration across Europe.

Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Aston Villa, RB Leipzig, and Villarreal are all tracking him, although none has submitted a formal offer.

For Arsenal, who are actively seeking to add depth at centre-back, Mosquera’s profile fits with Mikel Arteta’s recruitment blueprint: young, versatile, and tactically mature.
