Dubai: Al Hilal has given Bruno Fernandes 72 hours to decide whether or not he’ll accept their offer. They’re offering him £700k a week for up to 3 years. They have also offered around £100M to Man Utd. (Source: Chris Wheeler, Daily Mail)

Manchester United captain, after the Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao, has offered to leave Manchester United if the club need to cash in on him in order to rebuild for the future.

Now his captain, 30, has followed suit, aware of United’s need for an overhaul of the playing staff despite financial constraints.

“I have always been honest. I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go,” said Fernandes, 30.

“I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to the great days. On the day that the club thinks that I’m too much or it’s time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it.”

Gulf News verdict: There is a very low chance of the deal going through, considering that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has already confirmed that he wants Bruno to be part of his plans for next season. He is currently part of United’s Malaysian tour as well. Bruno is 30, and £100M is a lucrative offer for United, who have financial constraints after failing to qualify for the Champions League. However, we still feel that this move is unlikely to happen. Never say never in football, though.

Gulf News verdict: It’s a done deal. Just a formality remains.

Marcus Rashford will be available for all clubs for £40m. He has remained on Barça’s shortlist since January, when the deal didn’t happen and no sale took place. Gulf News verdict: Barca’s sporting director, Deco, wants Luiz Diaz, but Liverpool are demanding more than £80M for his signature, and obviously not everyone at the club will be happy to spend such a whopping amount for a 29-year-old, who might not have a resale value. Barcelona have financial issues themselves. Hence, Barca might be looking at cheaper options. Rashford would be a fantastic signing for any club as he will be hungry to prove Ruben Amorim and Man United wrong.

Manchester City are trying to beat both Liverpool and Chelsea to the signing of Lyon’s 21-year-old French midfielder Rayan Cherki. (Source: Telegraph)

Gulf News verdict: Rayan Cherki has a release clause of £20-25M. This will be a perfect move for Pep’s Man City, considering they had to pull out of the Florian Wirtz deal, citing huge investment required. He is a hot property who can unlock low blocks with his magical feet. We can see this deal happening, but there will be a tug-of-war for his signature.

Manchester United are set to sign Brazil international Matheus Cunha after meeting the £62.5 million buyout clause in his Wolves contract, according to British media reports on Wednesday.

The BBC reported United will pay the fee in three instalments over the next two years after Wolves rejected a proposal to split the payment over five years.

Cunha scored 17 goals to help haul Wolves out of a relegation battle as they finished behind United only on goal difference in the Premier League table.

Gulf News verdict: It’s a done deal.
