Manchester United are gearing up for a decisive summer in what will be Ruben Amorim’s first full transfer window at the helm.
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to offload up to 10 players as part of a major squad overhaul this transfer window.
The Red Devils’ pre-season tour of Asia is already underway, and the squad touched down in Kuala Lumpur this week ahead of their friendlies against ASEAN All-Stars XI and the Hong Kong national team.
While the club failed to secure a place in European competition for the 2025/26 season, top figures at Old Trafford insist the setback will not derail their ambitious recruitment plans.

United’s January signings of Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu were made under the guidance of Amorim and technical director Jason Wilcox, offering a glimpse of the long-term vision now taking shape.
It’s also been confirmed that Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof will all leave when their contracts expire at the end of June, creating more space for additions.
Now, CEO Omar Berrada has finally spoken publicly about the club’s summer transfer plans, and it sounds like the wheels are already in motion.
“We were ready for all the different scenarios and now know what we need to do,” Berrada told MUTV during an interview pitchside at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia.

“We have a very clear idea where we need to invest in the squad to improve.”
With the first short transfer window running from 1 June to 10 June, a change brought about by FIFA’s new Club World Cup format, and the full summer window opening on 16 June, Omar Berrada believes United are well positioned.
“So Jason [Wilcox], his team and Ruben [Amorim] have been in talks, as I said, for many months,” he added.
“Now it’s a question of executing that plan and doing it in a way that is prudent but, at the same time, with ambition.”
While Berrada did not comment on specific targets, the message is clear: the groundwork has been laid.
United are preparing to move smartly but decisively, with the focus now firmly on building a squad capable of bouncing back from a forgettable campaign.
