WHAT HAPPENED?
Bayern Munich have been actively trying to extend the contracts of some of the major talents at the Allianz Arena. The Bundesliga champions have been in discussion with Sane to extend his contract since the beginning of 2025, but haven't been able to reach an agreement. As per SkySports, Pini Zahavi, Sane's new agent, has offered him to many clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

When Leroy Sane hired Pini Zahavi as his new agent in May 2025, it signaled that the player was planning a future away from Bayern. Known for securing high-profile moves, Zahavi wasted no time. Sane has since turned down Bayern Munich’s renewal offer worth €10 million per year, plus €5 million in bonuses. The 29-year-old winger has now been offered to Tottenham Hotspur, though the Premier League club is yet to respond.
If sporting director Christoph Freund fails to tie Sane down to a new deal, Bayern will be left with a key gap to fill. The Bundesliga giants have already begun scouting the English Premier League for possible replacements, anticipating a potential exit.

The German club has identified Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma and Liverpool's Cody Gakpo as potential replacements for Sane. However, there is strong competition for Mitoma, who is also on Arsenal's transfer wishlist. Gakpo, on the other hand, is under contract with Liverpool until 2028.

Bayern and Freund’s biggest achievement this season has been securing Joshua Kimmich’s contract extension until 2029. Vincent Kompany’s side finally clinched the Bundesliga title in his second year in charge, but if the Bavarians want to compete in the Champions League next season, they will need to lock down key players already at the club.
