The New York Knicks are down 3-1 to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals after losing Game 4 on Tuesday by a final score of 130-121.
The Knicks had no answers for Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, who went off for 32 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists in Game 4.
New York was led in scoring by Jalen Brunson, who finished with 31 points. However, the lefty was once again targeted by Haliburton and the Pacers on defense and didn't do a good enough job holding his ground.
"I'm not doing enough," Brunson said after Game 4. "There has to be a difference on my part when it comes to that."
Knicks big man Karl-Anthony Towns, who sat next to Brunson at the podium during New York's postgame press conference, said his point guard isn't the only player struggling to stop Haliburton and the Pacers.
"It's not just him," Towns said. "It's all of us. We all have to do a better job of making it more difficult for each of them to score."
The Pacers are averaging 120.5 points against the Knicks in the conference finals. They have an offensive rating of 121.2.
Haliburton is averaging 24.3 points and 7.0 rebounds, while Pascal Siakam is putting up 25.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
"I think it's difficult for any team [to stop]," Knicks guard Josh Hart said about Indiana's offense. "You can stop one action, but then it's the next action and the next action. If one domino falls ... that one person's mess-up is messing up the whole possession.
"Obviously, they're running good stuff, but we have to make sure that we're physical and locked in and just make it tough for them."
Game 5 between the Knicks and Pacers is on Thursday at Madison Square Garden. Brunson and Co. must win to keep their season alive.
