The North London club needs to bring in reinforcements in the summer if they want to close the gap on their rivals next season and build on the Europa League success.

The Villains are under pressure to generate revenue after missing out on Champions League football for next season. Also, Villa will be forced to sell homegrown players in the summer to stay within the Profit and Sustainability Rules. Selling Ramsey would be considered as a pure profit in the account books as well.
The aforementioned report also suggests that Aston Villa value Jacob Ramsey at £50m and are open to negotiate terms with other clubs for his sale. However, Tottenham are not the only ones interested in the 24-year-old’s services. Arsenal and Newcastle United are also interested in landing the Englishman in the summer to bolster their attacking depth.
If Spurs manage to land Ramsey in the summer, then it would surely be a step in the right direction for the Lilywhites. The North London club desperately needs a versatile player in their ranks and the Aston Villa star could prove to be a useful player to have for next season. He can either operate as a left-winger, or as number eight in the team. The 24-year-old would suit Ange Postecoglou’s system as well.

Jacob Ramsey has a good passing range and tends to thrive in the high-pressing team. The Villa academy graduate also tends to initiate a high press effectively while recovering possession in the final third of the pitch. Signing Ramsey would mean that Heung-Min Son would lose his place in the starting eleven. The Englishman is also effective in counter-attacks as he tends to use his explosive pace to skip past defenders with ease.
