Many of the players who put in a lot of the work to get Chelsea to the final of the Conference League will not be present for the showdown with Real Betis.

Enzo Maresca used the group stages of the competition to heavily rotate his side in order to rest the first team, and their 100% record backed up the decision to do this.

Marc Guiu was the top scorer in the group stages, while the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix were heavily involved in the early knockings of the Conference League.

The Ukraine international has been spotted in Poland ahead of the final, however will not be involved in the matchday squad for the final. Maresca was even surprised to see he had made the journey.

Will Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk receive a Conference League medal?

Felix made the majority of his appearances this season in Europe, however was loaned out in January to AC Milan as it became clear he didn’t have a big part to play at Stamford Bridge.

Whether Chelsea win or lose the final, they will receive a medal for their participation in the competition.

As per UEFA’s rules, the Blues will be handed 50 medals whether they win or lose, with them given free reign over who they decide to hand them to.

This includes players, coaching staff and backroom staff, with there being no reason why either Felix or Mudryk cannot receive a medal if selected.

Felix scored four goals in five appearances, while Mudryk scored three and assisted three in four games.

They will be hoping for a permanent sale, however could be forced to settle with another loan move instead.
