Tyrese Haliburton might be getting the most attention from the Indiana Pacers‘ big win on Tuesday night, but he wasn’t the only one contributing to his team’s resounding success.
Bennedict Mathurin posted 20 points off the bench, chipping in a lot and assuring victory.
And he did that in just under 13 minutes.
According to Evan Sidery, Mathurin became the first player in NBA postseason history to score 20+ points in less than 13 minutes.

This is just what Mathurin needed.
Only a few days ago, some Pacers fans were complaining about how he has been playing during the postseason.
His Game 3 performance left a lot to be desired because he only put up two points.
Before that, he produced zero points and nine points in previous games.
There were certain fans who felt the Pacers should look to trade Mathurin this summer because they believed he didn’t do enough for the team.
Will Tuesday night’s showing change their minds and leave them enthusiastically supporting him?
It’s not clear, but Mathurin could help his case if he keeps it up in Game 5.
The Pacers are going to try very hard to put the Knicks away and secure their spot in the Finals.
While Haliburton will once again probably be the star of the show, the team can easily win if they have several stars playing well.
If Mathurin can have another 20+ point game, victory will likely be theirs.
And then it’ll allow him to perform in the Finals and silence all the people who were demanding he be traded just a few days ago.
