Liverpool are wasting no time this summer as they identify and go after some of their major targets. Arne Slot had said he was confident when it came to the club's plans - and they could be showing off several blockbuster names within weeks.
The Reds have just claimed Premier League glory despite barely touching their squad 12 months ago. Slot chose to work with the group he inherited from Jurgen Klopp and performed impressively. Now the Dutchman is underlining his ambition.
Liverpool claimed league success, but missed out on adding any other trophies. Their last-16 exit in the Champions League was a frustration, but they're hoping to build a team that can rival anything in Europe.
Some of their recruitment is motivated by exits. Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure means the team needs a new right-back and Jeremie Frimpong has been identified. The Bayer Leverkusen man, formerly of Manchester City and Celtic, has a £30million release clause.
He's jetted to the UK as talks progress over a move for the Dutchman and his club team-mate Florian Wirtz could join him in a move that may shatter the British transfer record.

Leverkusen have placed a price tag on the German playmaker that far exceeds the £100m mark. Bayern Munich too are keen but it currently looks as if the Reds are head of the queue, especially after City backed out of the transfer battle.
Wirtz is one of Germany's most exciting prospects and would add another dynamic to the Liverpool attack, who haven't played with a traditional 10. Slot knows that the club cannot continue to rely on Mohamed Salah's goalscoring brilliance to consistently bail them out.

Darwin Nunez could leave Anfield whilst Cody Gakpo has been linked with the departure door. Liverpool look to be planning for that possibility and have held talks with Frankfurt about signing their French frontman Hugo Ekitike, who is valued at £84m.
Their sporting director, Markus Krosche, has opened the door to his exit from Deutsche Bank Park insisting that they will allow players to leave if they feel they've outgrown the environment.
"He's one of the most interesting strikers on the European market. Hugo has to decide that," the club chief told Sport 1. "I'm glad we have him. If he decides otherwise, that's our motto: If a player develops faster than us, we let him go."

Liverpool are also showing that they will continue to rejuvenate the squad and a new left-back is on their radar. Milos Kerkez is one of a number of players who has seen his stock rise during Bournemouth's impressive year and a £45m switch is being touted.
The Reds have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Hungary international, who could begin next year as the tram's first-choice left-back, surpassing Andy Robertson. The 21-year-old is keen to challenge himself at a higher level and a move to Anfield would present him with that opportunity.
Slot said on the final day: "We are very happy with the squad that we have. This club has always shown that if they can strengthen, that's what we do."
He wasn't wrong and in a matter of weeks he could have four new faces to the tune of £270m. As statements of intent go, that would be a serious one.
