Reggie Miller Sends Message to Former Knicks Player on Wednesday

NBA fan favorite and former New York Knicks guard Jamal Crawford showed he still can get the better of whoever’s guarding him, even in retirement.

Crawford, 45, posted a new video on his Instagram account on Wednesday of himself going one-on-one with a friend, whom he easily beat.

“Yup, first video Flavor was ducking me,” he wrote in the post’s caption. “He finally agreed. Second video, he played 5-1, and now I see why he was ducking me 😂😂😂.”

Crawford used his drastic height differential and 6-foot-10 wingspan to make multiple shots over his opponent.

“Play again, Mal, nope,” he continued. “One chance to fight Mayweather.”

Crawford’s quick triumph even got the attention of a certain Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer.

“Damn I blinked and it was ovahhh,” Indiana Pacers all-time great turned broadcaster Reggie Miller commented.

Miller, 59, played for the Pacers from 1987-2005, leading them to several playoff appearances, including a trip to the 1999-2000 NBA Finals. Following his retirement, he took a role in the commentary booth as a member of TNT’s coverage of the NBA.

Miller has been a lead commentator for the ongoing Eastern Conference finals between the Knicks and Pacers alongside Kevin Harlan and Stan Van Gundy. His former team, who he proudly roots for, holds a 3-1 lead over Crawford’s former squad.

After four years with the Chicago Bulls, Crawford played in New York from 2004-08 and quickly became a household name. He then played for the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets. He claimed three Sixth Man of the Year awards from 2010-16.
