Where do Dallas Cowboys fans rank among the NFL’s least-optimistic fan bases?

A survey revealed the NFL’s least-optimistic fan bases. Where did Cowboys fans rank?

According to a report by The Action Network, the Dallas Cowboys finished third among all NFL teams in confidence-level ahead of this upcoming season behind the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns based on offseason moves.

Last season, the Dallas Cowboys finished below .500 with a 7-10 record and missed the playoffs for the first time in three years in part due to quarterback Dak Prescott, who was out for the final nine games of the season with a hamstring injury suffered against the Atlanta Falcons in week nine.

A lack of recent playoff success could be the reason for the lack of optimism from Cowboys fans ahead of 2025. The Cowboys have not won a Super Bowl since 1995 and have not reached the NFC Championship since then either.

Half of Cowboys fans, however, are optimistic about the season, and a majority of fans are confident the newest rookie class will want to play for new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

The Cowboys open the regular season against NFC East rival and defending Super Bowl champs Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 4.
