Bulls Are Reportedly Looking To Trade Veteran Center

The Chicago Bulls are stuck in the worst possible situation for any professional sports team.

Despite all the evidence pointing to a perfect time to rebuild, the front office again opted to take a different approach.

As a result, they were good enough to make the Play-In Tournament and not much more.

They’re stuck in basketball purgatory.

They can’t get a top draft pick, but they’re not much more than a first-round playoff team at best.

With that in mind, chances are that Nikola Vucevic won’t extend his stay with the organization.

That’s why it’s not surprising that the Bulls will look to trade Vucevic this offseason, according to insider Sam Amico, via NBA Central.

Vucevic has survived two years of trade rumors.

It made perfect sense to move him when his trade value was significantly higher, yet the Bulls chose to keep him in hopes of making an unlikely playoff run.

The Bulls flipped a coin with the Dallas Mavericks ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery to determine their odds.

The Mavericks ended up winning the No. 1 pick, and with it, a chance to land generational talent Cooper Flagg.

The Bulls, on the other hand, had to settle for the No. 12 pick.

Now, with high-end prospects AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer and Darryn Peterson headlining the 2026 NBA Draft, the Bulls might finally come to terms with the idea of bottoming out to get better in the long run.
