The remarkable season enjoyed by Barcelona star Pedri in 2024/25 has this week been aptly highlighted by a head-turning round of statistics.
Spanish international Pedri is for his part of course fresh off nothing short of a spectacular individual campaign.
Whilst attackers the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal so often stole the headlines across Spain, Barcelona’s engine room star stood out as arguably the Blaugrana’s most consistent performer.
Many, in turn, have gone as far as to label Pedri world football’s very best midfielder at this moment in time.
And as alluded to above, such claims would certainly be backed by the statistics surrounding the 22-year-old’s last 12 months.
As revealed by statisticians Opta, incredibly, Pedri finished La Liga in 2024/25 as the player with the most:
Passes – 2672
Passes in the opposing half – 1958
Passes into the final third – 414
Passes received – 2306
