Manchester City may not have reached their usual heights this season, but the players have still been good enough to seal third in the Premier League table.
Manchester City’s squad is star-studded, with some of the best players in the world plying their trade for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Indeed, Dimitar Berbatov has now picked one of Man City’s stars ahead of Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah when asked to vote between several top Premier League players.

Dimitar Berbatov picks Erling Haaland ahead of Mohamed Salah
Berbatov took part in the Daily Mail’s latest Knockout feature, in which he had to pick between eight iconic Premier League forwards, past and present, in a knockout format.
First up was Erling Haaland against Mohamed Salah, and Berbatov said: “Because he’s played in my position, Erling Haaland.”
However, fellow City attacking icon Sergio Aguero didn’t fare quite so well, with Berbatov picking Thierry Henry ahead of the Argentine.

Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer got the nod ahead of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Fernando Torres, before Haaland was then eliminated, with Henry going through to the final.
Shearer was then picked ahead of Rooney and, when it came to the final, Berbatov picked the Newcastle legend as his winner.
“They were both amazing but, because Shearer was my hero growing up and he’s the all-time leading goalscorer (in the Premier League), I’ll go with him,” said Berbatov.
Could Erling Haaland finish his career at Manchester City?
Since moving to the Etihad Stadium from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, Haaland has been a goalscoring machine.
Haaland is also a fan favourite because of his cheerful and eccentric personality, along with being a key figure in the dressing room.
Haaland recently signed a new contract at City which will take him to 2034, and he recently suggested he could see himself doing a Kevin De Bruyne and seeing his contract out.
“Of course, it is going to be different with different players, and one day it will be me, who’s going to be in Kevin’s shoes, you know? It’s with everyone,” said Haaland. “Every career kind of ends, you know?
“But, yeah, it’s going to be different with new faces, new players and everything. But we have to continue what we’ve been doing.
“For me personally, the last couple of years, coming to City and winning everything straight away… I want to win more trophies.
“I want to continue to win things and to be successful with City. That’s why I’m here and, yeah, it’s not going to be easy, because the most difficult thing after you win is to do it again.
“This club will keep on winning no matter what. So when Kevin leaves, someone has to come in and replace him. That’s just how it is.”
