A new emergency fund has been launched to help support those affected when a car drove into crowds that had gathered to watch Liverpool FC's victory parade on bank holiday Monday.
The Liverpool Spirit Appeal has been created by the Community Foundation for Merseyside (CFM) together with Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) and supported by Liverpool City Council.

All money raised will be distributed to those experiencing physical or psychological injuries as a result of the incident, as well as to community organisations that hope to help support those that witnessed it.
At least 65 people, including four children were injured on Water Street as thousands gathered in the city centre to watch the parade pass by.

The fund has already raised more than £20,000, including a £10,000 donation from the Jamie Carragher 23 Foundation - the former Liverpool player’s charity, and another £10,000 from the Blue Sky Foundation.
Organisers say the money donated will prioritise those individuals who were directly impacted by the events on 26th May 2025, and required hospital or medical treatment.
The fund will also offer help to community organisations working in the Liverpool area, offering the likes of emotional wellbeing and mental health support, along with initiatives that bring communities together and build resilience.
