Man United are looking to add more talent in midfield this summer as he aims to rebuild his squad.

The Red Devils have had a frustrating season, and after their Europa League final defeat to Tottenham, it got worse, as they will no longer have European football next season under Ruben Amorim.

However, Amorim would also like to improve in midfield, as this season, United struggled for players who can create chances and help in attack, apart from Bruno Fernandes. They have now been linked with an attacking midfielder.

Manchester United want to sign Lee Kang-In

In recent days, the future of Bruno Fernandes has become more uncertain, leading reports to link United to adding a new attacking midfielder - the role where Fernandes exceeds in. According to a report by Caught Offside, Man United have ‘made a move’ to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lee Kang-In, who has reportedly attracted the attention of several clubs from the Premier League, La Liga and the Serie A.

Kang-In has made 45 appearances for PSG this season, scoring six goals and providing six assists. He contributes heavily to the French side’s dominance in midfield, helping the ball forward to the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue. The report says that Kang-In wants a guarantee of more reliable game time after struggling to consistently find a spot in Luis Enrique’s starting XI this season. He is estimated to be worth around £25m, however, it is likely that United would have to pay more for the 24-year-old.

Arsenal, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are all said to be keen on signing the midfielder too, with European interest coming from Napoli and Atletico Madrid. However, Napoli are reportedly prioritising a move for Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

Lee Kang-In could provide Ruben Amorim with a Bruno Fernandes replacement

If they do sell Fernandes, Kang-In could slot into the role that the Portuguese international likes to play in, as a younger replacement, with the potential to grow into a real star for the Red Devils.
