After playing 2 seasons at Oklahoma, Oweh transferred to Kentucky ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. He had a sensation season with the Wildcats. Oweh’s UK bio describes him as the first player this century to hit 2 game-winning shots against the same team. The game-winners came against Oklahoma, of all teams, in Norman and in Nashville during the SEC Tournament.
Oweh was Kentucky’s leading scorer, averaging 16.2 points per game, a career-high. He scored in double figures in Kentucky’s first 26 games, the longest streak for any SEC player to begin a season. Oweh posted career bests in rebounds per game (4.7), assists per game (1.7), steals per game (1.6), blocks per game (0.5), free-throw percentage (.776), total 3s made (27), total free throws made (149), total field goals made (204), total rebounds (168), assists (62), blocks (19), steals (57) and points (584).
