Former Texas OL Cameron Williams inks rookie deal with the Philadelphia Eagles

Former Texas Longhorns offensive lineman Cameron Williams made it official with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this week, as the rookie big man up front inked his first deal.

Williams was a day three pick in this year’s NFL Draft: sixth-round, 207th overall.

His four-year rookie deal is worth roughly $4.4 million.

The Duncanville High School alum was a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class who began his prospect days as an Oregon commitment before flipping to the Longhorns.

Williams secured just one start in his first two seasons with Texas—against Kansas State in 2023, prior to Texas’ departure of the Big 12 for the Southeastern Conference—while he earned playing time in 22 games. In 2024, Williams took over as Texas’ starting right tackle.

Here’s how Sports Illustrated breaks down Williams:

“What Stoutland and the Eagles gained through the selection of Williams is a 6-foot-6, 317-pound player who started 15 games at right tackle for Texas. He experienced a playoff run with the Longhorns, and he was a contributing member to an offensive line that earned a place as finalists for the Joe Moore Award, which is presented to the nation’s top offensive line.”
