Since 2010, the Baltimore Ravens are an incredible 87-35 at home. M&T Bank Stadium has proven to be kind to the Ravens, at least in part due to one of the league’s most passionate fanbases.
The Baltimore faithful will soon be rewarded.
The Ravens announced the next step in their upgrades for M&T Bank Stadium, revealing the perks fans can expect to see in the near future.
“The stadium will add 29 new video displays around the stadium. An expanded 216-foot display at Gate A will replace the current RavensVision scoreboard,” Christian Olaniran wrote for CBS. “More than 100 televisions throughout the stadium will also be replaced with larger screens by 2026.
“The original ticket office on the stadium's west side is being converted into a 4,900-square-foot retail store, featuring RFID self-checkout, video panels and an LED player-jersey display. A former retail space at Gate A will become a walk-through Raveneous Chicken location. The new setup includes self-serve food slides and reach-in beverage coolers designed to reduce wait times.”
These upgrades are expected to be completed by 2026, opening the door for some of it to be seen during the upcoming season. Some more home playoff games would certainly help, and the team’s final regular-season home game will come in Week 16 against the New England Patriots.
The North Plaza of the stadium is also set to get a facelift, with an open-air concert venue and a year-round team store. Season ticket holders will also get an improved experience, too, including food and drink options.
Needless to say, Baltimore is prioritizing its fanbase this offseason. While the biggest gift the Ravens can give is a championship, making Sundays that much better in the meantime will earn the team some goodwill, too.
M&T Bank Stadium opened in 1998. According to CBS, these upgrades will cost approximately $450 million.
