The New York Knicks are down 3-1 to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals.
The Knicks must win Game 5 at home on Thursday to keep their season alive. It won't be easy since the Pacers won Games 1 and 2 at Madison Square Garden.
Game 4 was tough for New York. Not only did the Knicks lose by a final score of 130-121, but All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns also suffered a left knee injury while contesting a shot attempt by Pacers wing Aaron Nesmith in the fourth quarter.
Towns walked into his postgame press conference after Game 5 with a heavy limp, according to Chris Herring of ESPN.
New York announced on Wednesday that Towns is questionable to play in Game 5. He has been diagnosed with a left knee contusion.
Towns is in his first season with the Knicks after playing the first nine years of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 29-year-old averaged 24.4 points, 12.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists during the regular season in 72 games.
In the 2025 playoffs, Towns is averaging 21.3 points, 11.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
The Kentucky product is averaging 25.8 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in the Knicks-Pacers series.

If Towns can't play in Game 5, the odds of the Knicks winning would be very, very low.
The five-time All-Star declined to speak about his injury after Game 4.
“I’m only thinking about this loss, I’m not thinking about that right now,” Towns said. "It’s disappointing when you don’t get a win. Just didn’t do enough to get the job done tonight.”
