Just because the Philadelphia Eagles have a new offensive coordinator and play-caller doesn't mean expectations are diminished in any way on that side of the ball.
With All-Pros across each position group, Kevin Patullo knows he has his work cut out for him in a pretty thankless job. Either the team leads the league in offense - as expected - or he will be the one that gets blamed the most.
Patullo knows the risks of taking Philly's top play-calling job. After years of working with Nick Sirianni, and the offense in general, he is more than prepared for that pressure.
"I've been here with Nick since day one, knowing the guys and understanding them, their skill sets, what they can do, and kind of being in a different role to where I saw big picture at all times," Patullo said on Wednesday. "Now I can concentrate on certain things. And I've been in each room every year, kind of with the receivers and the quarterbacks, and kind of spread my knowledge around.
"So now it's just a matter of getting to know the players at a different level, but they still trust me in that capacity and with the background I have with them."
Patullo has a strong relationship with most players on the offense including Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts, and All-Pro wideout A.J. Brown.
If he can get Philly's offense to develop more than their bottom-of-the-league passing numbers from 2024, the team should be even better than their juggernaut selves last season.
